AGSI member Sgt. Fachtna O’ Donovan held a retirement party on February 7th 2015.
Fachtna retired after 19 years as Sergeant-in-charge of Castletownbere Station in Co. Cork. He previously served at Kevin St., Anglesea St. and Tipperary Town. He also served on the UN mission to Western Sahara. A large crowd turned out at The Berehaven Lodge to wish Fachtna and his family well in retirement.
