On Saturday 17th May the Garda Memorial Day was held at the Garda Memorial in the grounds of Dublin Castle for deceased members of An Garda Siochana killed in the line of duty.
Celebrants were Fr. Joe Kennedy and Archdeacon David Pierpoint.
The Garda Band and male and female Garda Choirs were also present. Wreaths were laid by Minister for Justice and Equality Frances Fitzgerald, Commissioner Nóirín O Sullivan, Gerry Blake, President Garda Siochana Retired Members Association and Michael Griffin, President Garda Síochána Survivors Association.
AGSI was represented by President Tim Galvin, National Executive Member Mick Hiney and General Secretary John Redmond.
