I wrote to the Garda Finance Directorate on November 13th pressing for payment of the December 6th Roster prior to Christmas. As you will be aware this is an annual issue AGSI works on, on your behalf.
I have received correspondence as of yesterday confirming that the allowances cheque will in fact be paid before the end of the year as outlined by Mr. Brian Gleeson in the email below.
“I refer to your email last week to the Executive Director in relation to the payment of the roster ending December 6th 2015.
I am pleased to inform you that due to the unique circumstances this year of having 5 paydays in December along with a particularly early roster end date of December 6th, An Garda Siochana will be in a position to facilitate the payment of the overtime and allowances associated with this roster period before the end of the 2015 financial year.
We are currently in the process of agreeing Corepay inputting deadlines with the Payroll Shared Services Centre (PSSC) in Killarney and upon finalisation of these deadlines all finance officers will be notified of same. In addition, the payroll dates for all payments due over the Christmas period will be made available shortly on the Garda Portal for all members to view.”
