Scott Medal Presentations for AGSI Members

On Wednesday 25th August AGSI General Secretary, Antoinette Cunningham attended a Scott Medal Presentation at Dublin Castle.

13 medals were awarded to members of the Garda Siochana (three were posthumous).  Four of the recipients are members of AGSI.

Sergeant John McDonagh was an AGSI member but is now retired.

Orla Mc Keown a grand-niece of the late Detective Patrick Mc Keown received the Gold Scott Medal Posthumous.

What is the Scott Medal?

The Scott Medal is the highest decoration that can be bestowed on a member of the Garda Siochana for their exceptional courage and bravery.
