It seems that an issue this morning has prevented the paying of wages to public sector employees. AGSI has contacted the Killarney Pay Section and they are working on the problem.
They cannot say how the problem has arisen or where the problem is, but it’s not confined to Garda pay alone.
AGSI will continue to liaise with the Department to see what the issue is and when people can expect payment and we will keep you updated.
