The Industrial Relations (Amendment) Act 2019 

I want to let you know that The Industrial Relations (Amendment) Act 2019 has been signed into law.  

 

The proposed commencement date is February 2020, to coincide with the implementation of the industrial relations structures for An Garda Síochána. 

 

This formed an integral part of the 2016 dispute on the equalisation of rights for members of An Garda Síochána and one that AGSI played a key role in achieving.

 

So what does it mean for AGSI members?

 

Well, it gives us access to the Workplace Relations Commission and the Labour Court once the  commencement order is signed. We look forward to continuing to progress these important matters on your behalf.
