AGSI March on Dáil Éireann planned for Tuesday 17th May

The Dáil elected Enda Kenny Taoiseach yesterday (Friday May 6, 2016).
AGSI must now deliver on our promise to march on the Dáil to show the new Government that we mean business in relation to pay restoration. The new Government will sit for the first time onTuesday 17th May. Accordingly you should mobilise as much support within your Branch as possible to attend our protest march.

AGSI will gather on Castle Street beside Dublin Castle at 11 am and March to the Dáil for 12 midday.
We will not march in uniform but people are asked to wear something blue. Head Office will provide placards.

If we don’t have a strong showing of strength on our first protest Government will see us as weak and won’t take our campaign seriously. This is why I am calling on you to encourage as many of your colleagues as possible to attend.

Perhaps you would consider placing this notice in a prominent place in the station and tell your Garda colleagues that we would welcome their support if they wanted to attend.

No amount of talking will have the same impact as a large turnout. We will also be notifying the media of our protest so we need to have a turnout worth reporting on.

Many thanks for your support.
