The National Executive has adopted a policy of non-cooperation with the transformation agenda within the Garda organisation. In doing so, we would like to advise you of the protocol in achieving this.
If Sergeants or Inspectors are requested to sit on transformation working groups they should refer to our policy and decline the invitation.
If members are directed to attend, they should notify their Branch who should raise the matter with local management.
If local management do not change their position following discussion with the Branch the matter should be escalated to AGSI Head Office.
Regrettably, AGSI is forced to take this action because of lack of engagement and urgency on the part of Government to progress the Garda Review under the Haddington Road Agreement. This is our only option to highlight your concerns about pay and conditions, matters relating to welfare while achieving appropriate industrial relations representation.
