The 2016 Annual Delegate Conference takes place from Monday 11th to Wednesday 13th April in Westport Plaza Hotel, Co. Mayo. The theme of this year’s Conference is “Rising Up For Pay Equality” and pre-empts AGSI’s planned and sustained campaign for pay restoration for members. So we hope you engage with us in all aspects of this strategy.

Message from President Tim Galvin
This is my last conference as President. It has been an absolute pleasure to represent you for the past three years. I want to take this opportunity to thank each and every member for your support and interactions throughout my tenure.While our work is not done, and given the nature of the job, it will never be done, be sure in the knowledge that I and my National Executive and Secretariat colleagues have your interests and issues to the forefront of our minds at all times.
Message from General Secretary John Jacob
This is my first Annual Delegate Conference as General Secretary of the Association of Garda Sergeants and Inspectors. It is my honour to welcome delegates attending the 38th Annual Delegate Conference of the AGSI to Westport.At the time of writing the Review of An Garda Síochána committed to under the Haddington Road Agreement (HRA) has only just commenced. AGSI are concerned that Government are attempting to limit the scope of the Review to pay matters only. Equally concerning is the public commitment to providing all necessary resources to An Garda Síochána but within the Review process shrinking from this commitment.The issue of pay will be debated at the Annual Delegate Conference and I encourage all members to contribute to this discussion.
