Process for Accident and Sickness Claims:

  • Members complete claim form in entirety ( omitting Policy Number and AGSI Validation only).
  • AGSI advise to keep the ‘outline of accident/illness’ brief.
  • Members can return the completed claim form to AGSI along with all medical certs. The insurers require these to calculate the payment owed to member.
  • Members can send in certs (to AGSI) on an ongoing basis (AGSI recommend this) or send in completed claim and certs when they return to work.
  • AGSI will process claim to our insurers and the insurers will keep AGSI updated on the members claim. The AGSI communicate directly with the member regarding the status of their claim, payments etc. The insurers will not contact the members.
  • AGSI upon receipt of claim forms will review and advise member of any additional information requirement prior to submission of claim to Insurance underwriters, , this will streamline and reduce waiting time for claim processing
