“Rewarding Loyal & Committed Service” – AGSI President
Ships Decanters were presented to former members of the National Executive at a presentation last week (Thursday 12th of December).
Mick Connell who retired from An Garda Síochana and AGSI National Executive Committee in June 2011 was invited back to be presented with a Ships Decanter. Normally this presentation is done during the December meeting of the National Executive Committee but as Mick was not available in December 2011, he was invited back this year.
Mick was an active member of the DMR North Central Branch and was stationed in Mountjoy. Words of wisdom came from Mick he would listen to everybody’s point of view before he made his contribution which was always well balanced.
Padraic Dolan, Padraic Tully and Paul Wallace were presented with Ships Decanters by AGSI President Tim Galvin who thanked them for their “loyal and committed service” to the National Executive.
Padraic was on the Galway branch of AGSI. He was on the National Executive Committee from 2006 to 2013. He was Vice President between 2010 and 2011 and President from 2011 until 2013.
Padraic Tully was on the Westmeath branch of AGSI he was elected to the National Executive in 2010 and was appointed Treasurer a position he held until his retirement on 2nd April 2013.
Paul Wallace was elected to the National Executive in 2010 and left in 2013.
