AGSI Vote Overwhelmingly to Accept Haddington Road Agreement

0

Members of AGSI have voted overwhelmingly to accept the Labour Relations Commission Proposals/An Garda Síochána Sectoral Agreement 2013-2015.

Following the ballot of AGSI members an overwhelming 93% of members voted yes to accept the new pay deal negotiated last month by John Redmond, General Secretary; John Jacob, Deputy General Secretary; Tim Galvin President; Antoinette Cunningham, Vice President and Mary Finnegan, Honorary Secretary.

Speaking from Phibsboro Towers John Redmond said today was a good day for the Association and he paid tribute to all involved.

“It’s been a long road since late last year when our members lived and worked under the pressure of further pay cuts. However, our direct negotiations with the Labour Relations Commission last month have paid off, and today our members voted overwhelmingly to accept it.

“I would like to pay tribute to my negotiating team, to our members, to our staff and to Kieran Mulvey and Anna Perry who negotiated with us directly and took the concerns and views of our members on board.”
