The protest is part of AGSI’s campaign to get Government to consider the unique position of An Garda Síochána within Croke Park II.

AGSI General Secretary John Redmond says, “Our campaign to achieve particular status for our members will continue. Today we wanted to have a visual presence to remind Government that we won’t go away. Morale is extemely low within the force and I would suggest that is in danger of hitting rock bottom.  We will host our 35th Annual Delegate Conference next week in Sligo and during this forum we will see a series of motions dedicated to pay and allowances. In fact it will dominate our 3-day event.”
