Members of AGSI are being encouraged to support a fundraiser being organised for Garda Brian Hanrahan who was shot last month during a holiday to New Orleans.
Originally from Killenaule in Co Tipperary but stationed in Newcastlewest, Co Limerick, Garda Hanrahan was visiting New Orleans with his father when he was shot in the chest.
Now the President of the Garda Motorcycle Club, retired Garda Ger McCarthy and his Club are organizing a fundraising motorcycle run from all over the country, eventually congregating at Annacotty, Limerick from where they will proceed to Newcastlewest for a presentation at the Devon Inn.
