The Garda Síochána Historical Society will host their memorabilia event in the Castle Rooms, Upper Castle Yard, Dublin Castle on Saturday 16th November from 10am to 6pm.
The idea of the event is for people to bring historical police photos, documents, artefacts, memorabilia and any items of interest along. They will have facility to photograph and scan the items to ensure they are recorded and immediately returned.
They also hope to have some guest speakers and/or historians present on the day.
This is the first time the Society has tried such an event and its success is dependent on you attending, bringing friends and spreading the word.
